Dr Stuart Sadler is the Director and Lead Clinical Psychologist at York Therapy Clinic, specialising in depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders.
He is one of the few UK-based psychologists trained to offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and has worked with clients across the world to help them achieve lasting improvements in their sleep.
Alongside his sleep work, Stuart supports clients with a broad range of difficulties including trauma, panic, OCD, anger management, and bereavement, drawing on over a decade of clinical experience in both NHS and private settings.
He practised for ten years within the NHS before establishing his own clinics to provide high-quality psychology and therapy services to clients in York, Newcastle, and beyond.
Experienced Adult Counsellor
Stuart qualified with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Newcastle University in 2007, and subsequently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Neuropsychology at Glasgow University in 2012.
He is experienced in delivering a range of evidence-based talking therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
His approach is grounded in using methods that have been proven to work both in clinical practice and through research. Alongside his formal qualifications, Stuart has attended advanced training and workshops led by practitioners including Tony Robbins and Russ Harris, as well as a number of high-profile therapists with a strong track record of results.
His postgraduate diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology further allows him to draw on insights into the biological basis of mental health, adding an additional dimension to his therapeutic work.
