Journey into Counselling

“I was drawn to this profession through my own experience of therapy when I was younger. At that time, I was struggling with confusing emotions, anger, low self-esteem, bullying, body image concerns, and family changes. It felt as though my mind had been a messy canvas, and therapy helped me gently wipe it clean, organise my thoughts, and begin thinking again without all the noise. That experience stayed with me and sparked a deep interest in helping others find that same clarity and breathing room.

I see it as a privilege to sit with someone and hear their experiences. I know how difficult and frightening it can be to open and vulnerable with another person, especially a stranger, and I am truly grateful when someone chooses to share that space with me. My aim is to help people organise their thoughts and lives in a way that allows them to reset their compass, reconnect with themselves, and feel ready to paint something new.”

Outside of work, Luke enjoys a variety of interests. With a love of baking, it’s one of his favourite ways to decompress. Carrot cake is a particular passion of Luke’s, alongside brownies and experimenting with making the best possible cookies. He also enjoy board games and card games, and value connecting with the people around me.
